Ko wai te tangata tika – Who is the right person for the job
We are seeking a self-motivated and self-directed individual. They must be well presented and highly organised. A willingness to learn is essential as their job will offer the opportunity to grow and develop your skills (and qualifications) in property management, people management, and reo Māori. They must have a full drivers license and a clean police record. No qualifications or experience in property management is necessary. This job is the starting point for a career in property management.
Te Mahi – The job
Under the supervision of the Senior Property Manager the successful candidate will work on:
1. Letting vacant properties
Attending viewings of vacant properties
Undertaking some marketing work as required (ie social media, signage)
Processing applications and conducting reference & credit checks:
Selecting successful candidates
Compiling & signing the tenancy agreement and bond lodgment forms
Organising hand over of property to new tenants
2. Conduct all inspections and write inspection reports
Entry and exits inpections
Quarterly routine inspections
Record maintenance requirements
Ngā haora - the hours
The successful candidate will start at 25-30 hours per week during the trial period, steadily increasing to full time as they complete their training and trial period. There is flexibility around when the hours are completed.
Utu-a-haora - Remuneration
Starting rate of $23.65 per hour and increasing to $25.25 upon completion of the trial period and initial training. Shared use of car and a mobile.
